Funeral services with military honors for Tommie Troy Selman, 79, of Barnum, Texas, formerly of Lufkin, will be held Friday, December 1, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Brian Williams and Brother Calvin Bittick officiating. Interment will follow in the Selman-Roark Cemetery in Linwood, Texas.

Tommie was born July 29, 1944 in Alto, Texas to the late Thomas G. Selman and Ethel M. (Ferguson) Selman, and died Monday, November 27, 2023 at his residence.

Tommie served in the United States Army. He retired from Abitibi Paper Mill in Lufkin in 2001.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah (Swearingen) Williams; son, Jason E. Selman and wife Pam; stepsons, Brian Williams, Chris Williams; grandsons, Jacob Tate Selman, Kaleb Ryan Selman, Blane Greenville; great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his late wife, Frankie Jo (Cernoch) Selman; brother, James W. Selman; identical twin, Lee Roy Selman; and sister, Billie Jean (Selman) Coleman.

Pallbearers will be Steve Selman, Ricky Selman, Shannon Selman, Jimmy Selman, Randy Selman, and Chris Williams.
