Tina Kern Lowe

Funeral services for Tina Kern Lowe, 50, of Hudson will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Lufkin with Reverend Mark Newton officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Lowe was born September 6, 1967 in Longmont, Colorado, and died Friday, August 10, 2018. She had resided in Hudson for 21 years.

Mrs. Lowe graduated from Texas High School in Texarkana in 1986 and Texas Christian University in 1990. She taught school for over 25 years, the last 15 years at Hudson ISD. She poured her heart into her students and colleagues at Peavy Primary and Bonner Elementary. Mrs. Lowe was an active member of First Baptist Church Lufkin where she taught Special Education.

Survivors include her husband, Matt Lowe of Hudson; son, Sutton Lowe; daughter, Rainey Lowe; parents, Alice (MacLennan) and Robert Kern of Texarkana; brother, Troy Kern of Texarkana; nephew, Blake Kern of Texarkana; and nieces, Brooke Kern, Brandi Kern, both of Texarkana and Bailey Vann of Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Pallbearers will be Troy Kern, Blake Kern, Walker McWilliams, Dan Venzin, Jack Carter and Jesse Cravy.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Knights, Donny Webb, Clay Carter, Jake Lowe and Jerry Lowe.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Lufkin Building Fund, 106 E. Bremond Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75901.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at First Baptist Church Lufkin.
