Thomas Reid Sims

Funeral services for Thomas Reid Sims, 29, of Lufkin will be held Friday, November 15, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Steve McCann officiating. Interment will follow in Gann Cemetery.

Thomas was born November 21, 1994 in Farmville, Virginia, and died Sunday, November 10, 2024 at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Ashton (Allen) Sims; son, Otto Sims; daughter, Maeve Sims; mother and stepfather, Vicki (Ertell) and Ron McNeil; father and stepmother, Raymond Wilson III and Jennifer Sims; brother and sister-in-law, Travis and Mackenzie Sims; sister, Trinity Sims; stepbrothers and sister-in-law, Pierson and Austin Malone, and Andrew Malone; nephews, Knoxx Sims and Koe Sims; niece, Priscilla Malone; grandparents, Raymond Wilson, Jr. and Peggy Sims, and Tommy and Gena Ertell; step-grandparents, Richard and Sarah Dye; uncle, Markus Sims; aunts, Valecia Engelke and Vanessa Ertell; step-uncle and aunts, Josh and Allison Whitfield, and Rachel Dye; parents-in-law, Chad and Shellie Allen; and numerous cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Thomas Rayford and Tommie O. Singletary, and Bruce Carlton and Lora Belle Hayes; and aunt, Veronica Ertell.

Pallbearers will be Ty Griffin, Jake Upton, Austin Sims, Clay Schupak, Cole Clark, and Jose Ruiz.

Honorary pallbearer will be Markus Sims.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
