Maxine Mcknight

Thelma Maxine McKnight, 88, of Wells died Friday, December 25, 2020 in Wells. Private family services will be held in the Mt. Hope Cemetery with Brother Milton “Scooter” Kelley and Brother Wesley Matchett officiating.

Mrs. McKnight was born January 14, 1932 in Cherokee County, Texas to the late Annie Elnora (Dunn) and Arthur Caroll Greenville. She was a lifetime resident of Wells. She worked for Dr. Jerry Spinks and McKibben Motor Co. for a combined 40 years. Mrs. McKnight was a member of First Baptist Church Wells.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Mary McKnight and Tony and Stacey McKnight, all of Wells; grandchildren and spouses, Jerry and Melissa McKnight, Julie McKnight, Jill and Scooter Kelley, Katie and Mark Vest, Quinton and Amie McKnight, and Jacquelyn and Mason Spangler; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy G. McKnight; grandson, Jamie McKnight; brothers, Caroll Greenville, Grady Greenville and Vernon Greenville; and sisters, Velma Gibson and Gloyce Pitts.
