Terry Lynn Thornhill, Sr.

Visitation for Terry Lynn Thornhill, Sr., 68, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Carroway Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Thornhill was born December 27, 1956 in Lovington, New Mexico to Rosa Lee (Sumruld) and Travis Wince Thornhill, Sr., and died Thursday, February 27, 2025 at his residence.

Mr. Thornhill was a craftsman who spent many years working in the electrical and HVAC trades around Angelina County. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed spending time on the banks of Lake Sam Rayburn with a fishing pole in his hand. The only thing he loved more than fishing was his wife of 48 years, Anita, and his children, Terry, Jr. and Chrissy, as well as the rest of his family. He was an easy-going person with a love of rock music, and being outdoors.

Survivors include his wife, Anita Lynn Thornhill of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Chrissy and Joseph Temple of Lufkin; son, Terry Thornhill, Jr. of Diboll; mother, Rosa Lee Thornhill of Diboll; brother and sister-in-law, Dwayne and Miram Thornhill of Hobbs, New Mexico; brother and sister-in- law, Everett, Sr. and Charolette Thornhill of Nederland; brother and sister-in- law, Darrell and Mary Thornhill of Diboll; sister, Janet Welch of Diboll; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Marian Light of Missouri; granddaughter and husband, Sarah and Conner Dunn of Lufkin; grandson, Dylan Thornhill of Diboll; grandson, Jonathan Temple of Lufkin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Travis Wince Thornhill, Sr.; brother, Travis Wince Thornhill, Jr.; and brother, Johnny Thornhill.
