Terrie Neal Burgess

Funeral services for Terrie Neal Burgess, 76, of Hudson will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jeb Stringer officiating. Interment will follow in the Wallace Chapel Cemetery.

Terrie was born March 14, 1949 in Port Arthur, Texas and passed on Sunday, November 2, 2025.

Terrie was a strong Christian woman who showed her faith, love, and dedication to God by always being there and being ready to serve. Terrie was also a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She and Jerry had been married for over 57 years. She was known as an amazing cook. Everyone that came to her house left with a full stomach and the knowledge that they were loved and cared for. The family that she leaves behind is heartbroken at her passing, but they also rejoice in knowing that she is at the feet of our savior and is reunited with her family that has already passed on.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Burgess of Hudson; son, Brian Burgess; daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Richard Scott of Hudson, son and daughter-in-law, Neal and Crystal Burgess of Bullard; daughter-in-law, Latisha Burgess of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Garrett Newton, Shyann Newton, Bailee Newton, Hannah Burgess, Emma Burgess, Bo Burgess, Tory Burgess, Avery Burgess, RJ Scott; brother, Keith Neal of La Porte; brother-in-law, Jimmy Brown of North Richland Hill; brother-in-law, Delwin Burgess of Hudson; sister-in-law, Saundra Burgess Renfro of Hudson; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Terrie is preceded in death by her parents, Rolan & Bennie Neal; and her sister, Trikina Brown.

Pallbearers will be Justin Renfro, David Burgess, Kell Brown, Jamey Brown, Jeremey Neal, and Beck Neal.

Honorary pallbearers will be Billy McGuire, Butch Miller, Randy Winston, Scott Burgess, and Joe Don Clark.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

The family would like to express special thanks to the staff in the George H. Henderson Unit of PineCrest and Harbor Hospice for their loving care.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
