Teressa Gwen Acord

Funeral services for Teressa Gwen Acord, 58, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Gene Eberle officiating. Interment will follow in the Largent Cemetery.           Ms. Acord was born July 21, 1958 in Dallas, Texas to the late Gwendolyn Lea (Bennett) and Ferrel Wayne Massey, and died Sunday, April 9, 2017 in a local hospital.           Ms. Acord had resided in Lufkin for two years. She previously lived in Silsbee and was employed at Helena Laboratories in Beaumont for many years. Ms. Acord was a former member of the New Psalms Quartet and was very musically inclined. She loved to sing and could play piano by ear. Ms. Acord was of the Southern Baptist faith.           Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Christina Renee Johnson and Albert Michael Diluzio of Killeen; son and daughter-in-law, Brian Edwin and Mandy Denise Acord of Lufkin; grandchildren, Morgan Bailey Johnson, Lacy Brooke Norton, Emily Brianne Norton, Ryan Zachary Acord, Caleb Matthew Norton, Krysta Addison Acord, and Karson Edwin Acord; sister, Sherri Lynn Smith of Pasadena; niece, Morgan Brandi Smith of Pasadena; nephew, Joel Wayne Smith of Pasadena; and numerous other relatives and friends.           She was preceded in death by her parents.           Pallbearers will be Albert Diluzio, Billy Ferguson, Ryan Acord, Joel Smith, Buddy Pace, and Bill Anthony.           Honorary pallbearer will be Karson Acord.           The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.           Memories and condolences may be added, and live webcasting of the services may be viewed at www.carrowayfuneralhome.com.                    Carroway Funeral Home, Lufkin, directors.
