Funeral services for Teresa Diane Hollis, 62, of Groveton will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Lester McAdams officiating. Interment will follow in the Largent Cemetery.
Mrs. Hollis was born September 5, 1955 in Lufkin, Texas to George Dunn and the late Hilda (Weeks) Dunn, and died Saturday, January 6, 2018 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Hollis had resided in Angelina County all of her life. She was a cashier at McCoy’s for over 10 years. She never met a stranger and was a very generous and giving person. She liked fishing, gardening and caring for her baby goats. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, and crafting, and took special joy in holding birthday parties for her family. Mrs. Hollis was known to always be accommodating and helpful to all. Her most important thing in life was her family. They brought so much joy and happiness to her every day.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Edward Hollis of Groveton; father, George Dunn of Lufkin; sister, Nita Currie and husband Stephen of Lufkin; brother, Kirk Dunn and wife Robin of Hudson; nieces and nephews, Nick May, Nolan May, Chris Dunn, Ben Dunn, Jeramy Nichols, Jason Nichols, Michelle Scott, and Isabell Scott; and sisters-in-law, Joyce Crain and husband David of Huntington and Linda Batson and husband Keith of Deer Park.
She was preceded in death by her mother and daughter, Amanda Dawn Brock.
Pallbearers will be David Crain, Cody Scott, Kim Reynolds, Nick May, Nolan May, and Patrick Largent.
Honorary pallbearers will be Craig Largent, Keith Batson, and David May.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
