Syble (Russell) Mangrum

Visitation for Syble (Russell) Mangrum, 83, of Lufkin will be held Friday, April 19, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Carroway Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mangrum was born March 9, 1941 in Huntington, Texas to the late Audrey Arlene (Anderson) and Dee Russell, and died Monday, April 15, 2024 in a local hospice facility.

Mrs. Mangrum earned a Masters Degree in Math and taught for many years.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, William Earl Mangrum; children and spouses, Sharon Ferden, William Keith and Stephanie Mangrum, and Tracy and Darryl Day; grandchildren and spouses, Ryan and Megan Ferden, Stormie Lovett and partner Cameron Conner, and Delaney and Khaled Zaher; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Owen and Emme Ferden, Ramy and Ezra Zaher; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Kathy Russell; sisters-in-law, Elaine Russell and Shirley Bauer; brothers-in-law, Melvin Taylor and Royce Mangrum; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Taylor; brother, Leamon Russell; and sisters-in-law, Johnie Russell and Delrice Mangrum.
