Susan Gayle Harper Tucker

Funeral services for Susan Gayle Harper Tucker, 65, of Huntington will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Huntington First Baptist Church with Brother Byron Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens in Franklin, Tennessee.

Mrs. Tucker was born January 15, 1961 in Williamson County, Tennessee to Laura Wilmoth (Johnson) and William Howard Harper, and died Friday, February 20, 2026 in a local hospice facility.

Susan was a devoted and loving wife, daughter, sister and aunt. She loved spending time with her family. She was a faithful member of Huntington First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Billy Tucker of Huntington; mother, Wilmoth Forsyth of Huntington; brother and sister-in-law, Howard Lee Harper Bench and Kelly Willson; nieces and nephew, Abby Bench, Ken Bench, Georgia Towns, Kay Towns; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Howard Harper.

Pallbearers will be Arlon Sanford, Shane Tatum, Glenn Franks, Todd Lowery, Sean Willis, and George Parr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Most Excellent Way, Huntington First Baptist Church, 702 N. Main Street, Huntington, Texas 75949.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Carroway Funeral Home in Huntington.
