Sue Cromeens

Visitation for Sue Cromeens, 86, of Lufkin will be held Friday, August 25, 2023 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Carroway Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Cromeens was born April 8, 1937 in Timpson, Texas to the late Essie (Bridwell) and Ernest Moore, and died Monday, August 21, 2023 in Whitehouse, Texas.

Mrs. Cromeens was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. She retired from Memorial Hospital following 51 years as an LVN. She was a member of Harmony Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, David and Brandy Cromeens of Tyler; son-in-law, Roy Winkelmann of Alto; grandsons, Kevin Cromeens and wife Christi of Lufkin, and Adam Winkelmann and wife Annie of Clute; great-grandsons, Payton Eoff and Sawyer Cromeens, both of Lufkin; great-granddaughters, Rebecca Cromeens and Stella Cromeens, both of Lufkin; niece, Tammy Campos of Pasadena; and a number of other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 48 1/2 years, Frank Cromeens; daughters, Becky Cromeens Wells and Rachel Cromeens Winkelmann; sister, Nell Lakey; nephew, James Lakey; and husband, Leon Hays.
