Steven Michael Paul

Memorial services for Steven Michael Paul, 30, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, January 19, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Steven was born December 8, 1989 in Madisonville, Texas and died Wednesday, January 15, 2020 in Angelina County.

Steven was a very loving person – he was always known to have a smile on his face and to be the life of the party. Everybody who knew him could always count on him to be there for them no matter what – loyal and giving. He enjoyed life: fishing, doing anything outdoors, dancing with Jessica in the kitchen, or just “being outside by the fire with a Natural Lite in his hand”. Steven was a bright light in the lives of all who were fortunate to have known him and he will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his girlfriend, Jessica Smith of Lufkin; father, Larry Paul of Marquez; brothers, Cody Paul of Nacogdoches, Zachary Paul of Marquez; sisters, Ava Rose Paul of Marquez, Cristal Marie Laseter of Oklahoma, Ashley Nichole Laseter, Jessica Michelle Laseter, both of Lufkin; stepchildren, Bre’Auna Aylor, Waylon Smith, Jesse James Smith, all of Lufkin; grandmother, Ava Denison of Marquez; grandfather, Bo Paul of Willis; mother, Cynthia Ann Moore of Decauter; stepmother, Jennifer Paul of Lufkin; aunt, Gabby Denison of Marquez; uncle, James Paul and wife Sharon of Cleveland; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ronald Denison and uncle, Jeffrey Shawn Paul.
