Funeral services for Steve Edwards, 89, of Pollok will be held Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Keith Woolf officiating. Graveside services with military honors will follow at Gann Cemetery.

Mr. Edwards was born September 13, 1936 in the Clawson Community of Angelina County, Texas to the late Annie Bell (Neal) and Archie G. Edwards, and died Monday, December 8, 2025 at his residence. He served in the U.S. Air Force and worked in construction his entire adult life.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Damien Young, Sandra and Michael Havard, and Wanda Reagan; grandchildren and spouses, Dortha Smith, Jeremy and Amber Parrott, Cody Young, J.T. and Brittiany Williams, Sam and Amber Williams, Adam Williams, Brittney and Shaun Miller, Shannon Drysdale, Robin Graham, John Pavlic, and Judd Pavlic; brother, Olen Edwards; numerous great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Edwards; daughter, Patsy Gabbert; sister, Jeanette Whisenant; brother, David Edwards; and great-grandchildren, Ben Williams and Joshua “Cricket” Williams.

Pallbearers will be Dean Parrott, Jason Morgan, Curtis Edwards, J.T. Williams, Sam Williams, and Adam Williams.

Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Oliver, John Crawford, Ken Cargill, and Ian Edwards.

The family extends special thanks to his caregivers, Beatrice Williams, Wendy Christenson and Diane Havard, as well as the staff of Hospice in the Pines for their loving care of Mr. Edwards

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
