Stephen A. "Steve" Hicks

Private memorial services for Stephen A. “Steve” Hicks, 72, of Lufkin will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Hicks was born January 28, 1950 in  Denton, Texas to Carolyn (Allen) and T.A. Hicks, and died Thursday, April 21, 2022 at his residence.

Steve had resided in Lufkin for 40 years and was self-employed. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Steve was a member of St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Hicks of Lufkin; mother, Carolyn Hicks of Longview; brother, Michael Hicks of Little Rock, Arkansas; stepsons, Johnathan Golembiewski and wife Margaret, and Richard Golembiewski, all of Lufkin; and numerous other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, T.A. Hicks.
