Mass of Christian Burial for Smith Storment, 87, of Lufkin will be held Friday, January 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church with Fr. Luis Peña officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
Mr. Storment was born November 19, 1935 in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas to the late Eunice Marie (Walker) and William Hugh Storment, and died Saturday, December 31, 2022 at his residence.
Mr. Storment worked in the oilfield and he was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church.
Survivors include his children and their spouses, Jim and Jan Storment, Kathy Clark, Vicki Storment and Donald Powell, Tracey Storment, Scott and Donna Storment, Barbie and Russ Henderson, Jon Storment and Jenny Korn, Becky and Keith Molandes; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Nathan Storment; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Constance Storment; infant daughter, Katherine Storment; sisters, Bertie, Hattie, Hazel, Rosella; and brothers, James, Riley, and Melvin.
Pallbearers will be Keith Molandes, Todd Weems, Christopher Storment, Andrew Slaybaugh, Donald Powell, and Daniel Storment.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brandy Storment, Jenn Slaybaugh, Jessica Forero, and Madison Simmons.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
