Sierra Grace "Gracie" Duckworth

Funeral services for Sierra Grace “Gracie” Duckworth, 18, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Steve Cowart officiating. Interment will follow in Shofner Cemetery.

Gracie was born January 1, 2008 in Lufkin, Texas, where she was raised and lived all her life.

Every room Gracie walked into she automatically would light it up just with her presence; her laugh and joy would have everyone in the room laughing joyfully. Gracie was strong, independent, ambitious, determined, intelligent, loving, and so much more.

Survivors include her parents, Gregory and Amy Duckworth; brothers, Aaron Duckworth and Luc Duckworth; sisters, Mary Duckworth, Kaylee Duckworth, and Autumn Duckworth; and numerous aunts, uncles, grandparents, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Westley; Nana, Charmis Nerren; Papa, Gregory Duckworth, Sr.; and great-grandmother, Mema Aggie.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 Saturday afternoon prior to the services.

The earth is only one. Just think of her as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort, where there are no days and years. Think how she must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away and think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched. For nothing loved is ever lost. And she was loved so much.
