Shirley D. (Atkinson) Thomason

Shirley Dee (Atkinson) Thomason, 61, of Huntington died Friday, February 4, 2022 at her residence. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Thomason was born December 11, 1959 in Orange, California. Formerly of Louisiana and Houston, she had resided in Huntington for nine years. Mrs. Thomason enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and being outside tending her garden and flower beds.

Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Dee Riggs of Lufkin, Jennifer Thomas of Dallas, and Lawayna Burdeshaw and husband Dustin of Kilgore; son, Josh Stephens of Carthage; numerous grandchildren; brother, Kenny Eden; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, April Kay (Davis) Eden; father, Harold D. Atkinson; and husband, Korbet Thomason.
