Shirley Faye Rodenbough

Graveside services for Shirley Faye Rodenbough, 78, of Lufkin will be held Friday, October 27, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Davis Cemetery in Grapeland with Doyle Hodge officiating.

Shirley was born October 29, 1944 in Tahoka, Texas to the late Ruby Lena (Collier) and Sidney C. Jenkins. She lived most of her life between Grapeland, Dallas, and Lufkin. She was affectionately known as “Granny”, “Mom”, or “Aunt Shirley” by her loved ones. As the matriarch of the family, she had a big personality and definitely kept everyone around her on their toes.

Shirley was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Jimmie Rodenbough and went home to be with him in heaven on October 24, 2023. Also preceding her in death were her parents, three sisters, and three brothers.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Sondra Rodenbough of Kaufman; daughters and sons-in-law, Monica and Robert Serna of Quinlan and Martha and Bobby Snowden of Lufkin; sister, Christine James of Lufkin; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Chris Kennedy, Matthew Snowden, Jeffrey Snowden, Nathan Snowden, Michael Rodenbough, Bobby Serna, and Abraham Serna.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Kennedy, Christian Hernandez, Mitchell Rodenbough, and Bobby Rodenbough.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
