Funeral services for Shirley Ann McCollum, 81, of Diboll will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Vic Bass officiating. Interment will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Jasper County.
Mrs. McCollum was born September 12, 1938 in Nacogdoches, Texas to the late Hazel (Wright) and Ivy W. Rudd, and died Sunday, July 12, 2020 at her residence. She retired as Manager from the Okay Food Store in Diboll following 25 years of employment. Mrs. McCollum enjoyed sewing, cake decorating, and spending time with family. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, David and Dana McCollum of Bisco, North Carolina, Bryant and Margaret McCollum of Jasper, Wayland and Elizabeth McCollum of Diboll, Danny and Marci McCollum of Brandon, Mississippi; daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Richard Bradley of Diboll; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Melba Rudd of Lufkin; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 26 years, Elmo McCollum; and sisters, Dorothy Ashley and Helen Thompson.
Pallbearers will be Bryant McCollum, Jr., Brandon McCollum, Kamran McCollum, Doug Krell, Tyler McCollum, Josh McCollum, Austin McCollum, and Scott Bradley.
Honorary pallbearers will be David McCollum, Jr., Brendan McCollum, Stephen Bradley, and Trevor Pankey.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
