Shirley Ann (Jones) Glaze

Funeral services for Shirley Ann (Jones) Glaze, 81, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kenneth Mayo officiating. Interment will follow in the Simpson Cemetery in Cherokee County.

Mrs. Glaze was born January 12, 1936 in Alto, Texas to the late Bernice (Parker) Jones and James M. Jones, and died Sunday, December 10, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Glaze married Lenard Junior Glaze on November 30, 1962. She was of the Baptist faith and most recently attended Redtown Missionary Baptist Church in Pollok.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Lenard Glaze of Lufkin; daughter, Cindy Morgan of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Lynn and Tarra Glaze and Lon and Tammy Glaze, all of Lufkin; grandson, Nicolas Glaze; granddaughters and grandson-in-law, Deann (Morgan) Wood and J.R. Wood, Sarah Glaze, and Madelyn Glaze; great-grandson, Jakob Wood; great-granddaughter, Jadyn Wood; brother, Eddie Jones of Nacogdoches; brother-in-law, Gene Sander of Austin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by a long lost but recently found daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Greg Faulkner and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bobby Earl Jones, Billy Frank Jones, and James Parker Jones; sisters, Virginia Sue (Jones) McClelland and Mary Lou (Jones) Sander; and half-sister, Winnie Lee (Jones) Thebeau.

Pallbearers will be Nick Glaze, Tim Jones, James Jones, Hunter Mayo, J.R. Wood, and Ray Glaze.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 212 Gene Samford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
