Shawn Reed Crumbaker

Funeral services for Shawn Reed Crumbaker, 56, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with John Wayland and Mark Crumbaker officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Shawn was born April 3, 1967 in Fort Worth, Texas to Sandra (Smith) and the late David Crumbaker, and died Tuesday, September 12, 2023 in a local hospital.

Shawn worked as a supervisor at Pilgrim’s Pride. He was funny, sweet and helped everyone that he could. He always gave more than he got. He lived his life truly cherishing the relationships around him, especially with Sonja. He would do anything to make his sweet baby doll happy. Shawn was an avid deer hunter. He loved the great outdoors and spending time in the woods. He also enjoyed fly fishing and tying flies. He knew how to cook and feed people. If someone was hungry, he was going to cook! He loved being in the kitchen and serving others. He was a rock to everyone around him. Shawn was of the Church of Christ faith.

Survivors include his wife, Sonja Crumbaker of Lufkin; daughter, Taylor Renee Ranaldi of Fort Worth; son, Nicholas Wolf of Saginaw, Michigan; numerous grandchildren; mother, Sandra Crumbaker of Daingerfield, Texas; brothers, Brent Crumbaker of Omaha, Texas, Mark Crumbaker of Daingerfield; sister, Mindy Crumbaker of North Andover, Massachusetts; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Crumbaker; and son, David Wolf.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas Wolf, Brent Crumbaker, and Mark Crumbaker.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon prior to the service at the funeral home.
