Sharon M. Slaughter

Graveside services for Sharon M. Slaughter, 49, of Wichita, Kansas, formerly of Lufkin, will be held Friday, July 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the New Church Cemetery in Trinity County.

Ms. Slaughter was born March 29, 1973 in Lufkin, Texas and died Friday, June 24, 2022 in Wichita, Kansas. Formerly of Lufkin, she had resided in Kansas for eight years. Ms. Slaughter was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jeramie and Neecie Holloway of Beaumont; grandchildren, Amie, Jesse and Haley Holloway; sisters, Katrina Kelley of Apple Springs and Teresa Basham of Lufkin; brother, Matt Collier of Beaumont; and a number of other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy (Sullivan) Groze; and stepfather, Buster Groze.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jeramie Holloway and Matt Collier.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday morning prior to the services.
