Sharon Ann Nallin Ramsey

Funeral services for Sharon Ann Nallin Ramsey, 75, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Don Loftin officiating. Interment will follow in the New Prospect Cemetery in Timpson.

Sharon was born April 11, 1943 in Houston, Texas to the late James Joseph Nallin and Mildred (Collier) Nallin, and died Monday, May 2, 2018 in Lufkin. She was of the Baptist faith.

Sharon graduated from The University of Houston with a degree in Education. She taught elementary grades and special education for over 30 years in Deer Park, Hudson and Central Independent School Districts. Sharon retired in 2006 from Central ISD.

Sharon enjoyed family events, traveling, and spending time with her lifelong girlfriends. Mostly, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren in California and Texas.

Survivors include her sons, Mike Ramsey, Bill Ramsey and wife Deidre, Stacy Ramsey and wife Sharon, Robert Ramsey and wife Nancy, Jason Ramsey and wife Elisabeth, and Mitchell Ramsey and wife Ella; grandchildren, Billy Bob, Michael Shawn, Matthew Scott, Kellie RhaeAnn, Caleb Daniel, Leland Cash, Luella Mae, Leila Marie, Isabella Ann, Olivia Grace, and Vivvien Lorraine Ramsey; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Sharon is also survived by her sister, Janis Salsman; nieces, Erica Salsman Kouros and family and Emilie Salsman; nephews, Danny Sesher and family and Shawn Sesher and family; sister-in-law, J’Nean Henderson; and special friend, Paul Cooper.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Leland Wayne Ramsey.

Pallbearers will be Jason Horton, Hunter Johnson, Dusty Stephenson, Josh Brewer, Nick Lawrence, and Jason Carter.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning prior to the service at the funeral home.
