Sharon Grisham

Funeral services for Sharon Grisham, 72, of Hudson will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bryan Lipscomb officiating. Interment will follow in the Parks Cemetery in Cherokee County.

Ms. Grisham was born November 6, 1946 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Beulah (Young) and Perry Douglas Grisham, and died Saturday, February 23, 2019 in a local hospital.

Ms. Grisham was a lifetime resident of Hudson. She taught at Hudson ISD for more than 30 years and was co-owner of The Bible House and Rocky Hills Retreat Ranch. Ms. Grisham was a member of various 42 and Joker clubs, and a member of the Hudson Retired Teachers Club. She was a longtime member of Providence Baptist Church where she taught the Dorcas Sunday school class.

Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Lucy and Dwight Richardson of Hudson; niece, Deidra Richardson of Hudson; nephew and wife, Dwane and Dianna Richardson of Hudson; great-nieces, Brook Richardson and Kylee Richardson; great-nephews, Kody Richardson and Bentley Richardson; special friends, Kathryn and Glenn Scott of Hudson, Shana Scott of Lufkin, and Stacy Lindsey of Texarkana; and numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be Dwane Richardson, Dick Milstead, David Gibson, Nick Horton, Tommy Patrick, and Matt Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Lehr, Jerry Rudd, Marvin Best, Weldon Parker, Greg Rhodes, Beamon Calhoun, and Thomas Nelson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Parks Cemetery Association, 3842 Ted Trout Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904, Women of Providence or Providence Baptist Church Building Fund, 4423 Ted Trout Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
