Sean Neal Black

Funeral services for Sean Neal Black, 60, of Lufkin will be held Friday, May 30, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother John Harvey and Brother Trey Ainsworth officiating. Interment will follow in Largent Cemetery.

Sean was born February 21, 1965 in Lufkin, Texas to Judy Ann (Mott) and Roger Neal Black, and passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025 at his residence.

Sean was a lifelong resident of Lufkin and graduated from Hudson High School. He earned a Bachelor of Business degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. Sean’s passion for cars and motorcycles was evident from a young age. He and his dad spent countless hours tinkering with engines, restoring cars, and riding motorcycles. Sean never met a stranger. He was always eager to share his knowledge and love for the road with others. He owned and operated his own auto shop, The Auto Center.

Survivors include his mother, Judy Black; aunt, Verna Mott; cousins, David Mott, Krystal Daniel and husband Skyler; lifelong friend, Charles Kendrick, Jr., his fur baby, Loca; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Black; maternal grandparents, Lester and Fairy Mott; and paternal grandparents, Henry and Loma Black.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday morning prior to the service.
