Sarah Beth Rich

Memorial services for Sarah Beth Rich, 95, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mark A. Newton officiating. A private burial will be in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Rich was born December 23, 1929 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Tina Belle (Deaton) and Oliver McKay, Sr. and died Saturday, August 2, 2025 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Rich was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. She retired from Lufkin National Bank following 40 plus years of employment. She was a member of First Baptist Church Lufkin.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Ricky Alexander of Winnsboro, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Joy Rich, and Eric and Greta Rich, all of Lufkin; grandchildren, Jacob Ryan Rainwater, Joe E. “Tripp” Rich III and wife Allison, Scott Seale, William Scott Rich, and Catherine Elizabeth Rich; great-granddaughters, Cassidy Claire Rainwater, Ashton Seale, Mackenzie Seale and Kalee Guidroz; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 70 years, Joe Echols Rich, Sr.; granddaughter, Shea Seale; brothers, Oliver “Bubba” McKay, Jr. and James C. “Dick” McKay; and sisters-in-law, Tomagene Snead and Anna Royce McKay.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Avery, Bill Dobrec, Trey Henderson, Kevin McKay, Taylor McKewen, Carl Ray Polk, and Scott Rich.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Lufkin Building Fund, 106 E. Bremond Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75901, GODTEL Ministries, 323 Moody Street, Lufkin, Texas 75901, or The Salvation Army, 412 S. 3rd Street, Lufkin, Texas 75901.
