Sarah Oliver

Funeral services for Sarah Oliver, 77, of Pollok will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church with Reverend John Boone, Reverend Randy Ensey and Reverend Ron Oliver officiating. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon at Rosevine Cemetery in Sabine County.

Mrs. Oliver was born October 24, 1941 in Silsbee, Texas to the late Irene (Shuptrine) and J.L. Sims, and died Saturday, May 4, 2019 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Oliver had resided in Pollok for 26 years. She was the bookkeeper for the family business, Oliver Plumbing. Mrs. Oliver was a volunteer for the AARP Tax Program for 38 years. It was her passion. She was a charter member of the SPJST Lodge #191 and a member of the Lufkin Dance Club. She loved working in her flower gardens and enjoyed playing games including cards and dominos. Mrs. Oliver attended Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include her husband, Doyle Oliver of Pollok; daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Marvin Cox of Weskan, Kansas; sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Pam Oliver of Lufkin and Mark and Donna Oliver of Pollok; grandchildren and spouses, Randa and Danzey Nickel, Kale and Kim Cox, Brady Cox, Anna Oliver, Emily and Neal Warden, and Jacob and Emily Oliver; great-grandchildren, Zander, Max, Breck, Andie and Jade; eight brothers and sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and parents-in-law, W.A. and Irene Oliver.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
