Funeral services for Sarah Jean Holland, 87, of Pollok will be held Monday, November 10, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with David Flowers officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Sarah was born December 7, 1937 in Pollok, where she spent her entire life, and passed away peacefully in her home Friday, October 31, 2025.
Sarah was deeply proud to have lived on her family homeplace, Matthew's Farm, which was established in 1867. Her roots ran deep there, and the land was a source of joy, pride, and countless cherished memories.
A 1956 graduate of Central High School, Sarah went on to build a successful and fulfilling career in real estate spanning 32 years, most of which she spent with Century 21. Known for her professionalism, warmth, and dedication, she earned numerous awards, including recognition as a Multi-Million Dollar Producer. More importantly, she truly loved her clients and took great pride in helping families find their homes.
Sarah will be remembered for her strength, her kindness, her love of home and family, and the lasting impact she made on everyone who knew her.
Sarah's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her son, Terry O'Quinn and wife Sandra of Pollok; daughter, Sandy Flowers and husband David of Huntington; grandchildren, Daniel O'Quinn and wife Ivette of Leander, Taylor Prescott and husband Kyle of Aledo, and Presli Flowers of Huntington; and great-grandchildren Ana Sophia and Liam O'Quinn and Harper and Hayes Prescott. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Hubenthal of Boston, Massachusetts; special friend and caretaker Kim Flournoy; and numerous other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Brunette Duncan; her husband, James Holland; sister, Billie Jackson; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Hubenthal.
Pallbearers will be John Flowers, John Karson Flowers, Michael Bryan, Kevin Cota, Kyle Prescott, and Daniel O’Quinn.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ned Thompson, Steve Crawford, Tommy Crawford, Kenny Franklin, Johnny Dixon, and Karl Hubenthal.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday afternoon prior to the service.
