Sandra Kay Strait

Memorial services for Sandra Kay Strait, 78, of Chireno will be held Saturday, December 27, 2025 at 10:00 a. m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Strait was born January 20, 1947 in Muskegon, Michigan to the late Evelyn Hogan and William Dark, and died Saturday, December 13, 2025 in a Lufkin hospital.

Sandra had resided in Chireno for 35 years and worked in retail, retiring from K-Mart after 20 years of service.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Steven Jones of Lufkin; son, William J. Strait of Huntington; grandchildren, Johnathon Strait, Cody Hamilton, Cameron Duke, Carlie Duke, Colton Renfro, Skylar Strait, Kayla Hamilton, David Jones, Jasson Jones and wife Tanna, Brent Jones and wife Amelia; several great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy A. Dark of Michigan; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Leroy Strait; and brother, William John Dark.
