Sandra Johnson Sorenson

Graveside services for Sandra Johnson Sorenson, 62, of Pollok will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Largent Cemetery with Ken Odle officiating.

Sandra was born August 16, 1955 in Crockett, Texas to the late Jack Johnson and Eurene (Rhone) Johnson, and passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Pollok.

Survivors include her husband, Butch Sorenson of Pollok; daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Stuart Oates of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Vicky Sorenson of Pollok; grandchildren, Colby Oates, Railey Oates, Jessi Sorenson, and bonus grandchildren Shountel Long, Justin Lester, Skylor Hinshaw and Breanna Brown; sister, Susie Slaughter of Trinity; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Lauretta Johnson of Tacoma, Washington; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim and Sue Colley of Manhattan, Kansas, Bill and Sarilyn Harrison of Santa Clarita, California, Ken and Kathy Odle of Mesquite, Bill and JoEllen Hardy of Huntington, and Red Watkins of Moody; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Sandra loved her family, actually she loved everyone and everything, openly accepting and welcoming everyone into her life. Friends were only friends for a short time…then they were family - special friend, Berniece Jacobs; adopted sons, William Ashworth, Tom Jones, and Brad Wars; and adopted grandson, Dakota Ashworth.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Eurene Johnson; parents-in-law, D.V. and Ann Sorenson; sisters, Retha Hill, Ann Cooper, and Lanette Watkins; nephews, Tom Boyett, Jay Cooper and T.W. Watkins; and brothers-in-law, Marshall Boyett, Gene Hill, Ernest Cooper, Jamie Murray, Bob Slaughter, and Bob Sorenson.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
