Sandra Sue Hough

Funeral services for Sandra Sue Hough, 85, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Charles Roberts and Pastor Jacob Fitzgerald officiating. Entombment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park Sunset Mausoleum.

Mrs. Hough was born March 19, 1940 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Myrtie (Deaton) and Marvin Lafayette Hines, and died March 22, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones.

Sandra met the love of her life, Samuel Ernest Hough, at Pineywoods Business College and they were married for 56 years. She enjoyed traveling, going out to eat, shopping, spending time with her friends and helping others. Grandmama’s holidays with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were some of her most treasured memories. Sandra leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity and service to others. She was known for her unwavering Christian faith and dedication to her church, Denman Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Jimmy Citty of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Rhonda Hough of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Kristi and Blake Parker of Fort Worth; grandchildren and their spouses, Tyler Greening, Chase and Lindsey Greening, Dagan and Megan Hough; Landan and Jenna Hough; Madeleine and Richard Woods, Riley and Sam Schaefer, Tatum Parker; great-grandchildren, Brylie Hough, Carter Hough, Legend Hough, Rhett Hough, Cal Greening, Kasen Hough; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest Hough; sister, Patty White; and brothers, Tommy Hines and David Hines.

Pallbearers will be Sandra’s grandchildren.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon prior to the service.
