Samuel Richard Moore

Memorial services for Samuel Richard Moore, 57, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Moore was born July 20, 1963 in Groveton, Texas to the late Hauline (Williams) and Paul Levere Moore, and died Sunday, February 21, 2021 at his residence. He worked as an auto body repairman for various body shops. Mr. Moore enjoyed riding four wheelers, fishing and visiting Galveston, and watching First Baptist Church Nacogdoches worship services on television.

Survivors include his companion of 17 years, Lana Mondy of Lufkin; daughters, Rachel Moore and Lacy Moore, both of Pollok; son, Dwain Moore of Pollok; grandchildren, Cayden Nerren, Jake Jones, Kase Pruett, Abby Pruett, Cheslee Moore, and Brantley Moore; brother, Anthony Moore of Conroe; and the mother of his children, Wynette Tolley of Wells.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Daniel Weston Redd.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon prior to the services.
