Ruth Mullins

Funeral services for Ruth Mullins, 89, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother C.G. “Buster” Grigg officiating. A private family burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Mullins was born December 29, 1934 in Trinity County, Texas to the late Osie Lee (Jeffrey) and Arthur Nash, and died Sunday, November 24, 2024 in Humble.

Mrs. Mullins resided in Angelina County most of her life. She retired from the Diboll Free Press after 30 years as Office Manager. She was a member of First Baptist Church Diboll.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Ted and Adrianne Mullins of Jeffersonton, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses, Chloe Mullins, Courtney Mullins, Carley Mullins, Caity Mullins, Joshua and Calynn Mullins, Payton and Amanda Pennington, Marcie Pennington and life partner Tamara Harlow, and Tyson and Jessica McMullen; great-grandchildren, Tanner Mullins and Tinley Mullins; son-in-law, Bob Pennington of Lufkin; and daughter-in-law, Mary Mullins, formerly of Lufkin.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Howard Mullins; son, Gregg Mullins; and daughter, Diane Pennington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the T.L.L. Temple Memorial Library, 300 Park Street, Diboll, Texas 75941, or a charity of your choice.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning prior to the services.
