Ruth Kathleen Due, 85, of Lufkin died Thursday, June 12, 2025 in a local hospice facility. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Ms. Due was born May 12, 1940 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Ivoleen Ruth (Choate) and W.L. Bryant.
Granny was one of a kind. She was loved so much and will be missed dearly. I enjoyed going and visiting her every day possible. She would never fail to put a smile on my face on my worst days even if she wasn’t really having a good day. The feel of her reaching over and grabbing my hand and holding it will be missed dearly, and the feels of her arms around my neck after a big, long hug. She loved word searches, peanut butter cheese crackers, and her some lipstick, mainly pink. She also loved cooking, gardening and shopping. Granny had every color of croc known to mankind to match all her pretty dresses. Her favorite color was purple, and she loved to have her nails painted. One of the favorites of many memories I have with granny is blowing her a goodbye kiss and her catching it and blowing me one back. Love always, Colt
