Roy L. Hilton, 85, of Kennard died Saturday, April 19, 2025 in a local hospice facility. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. Memorial services and inurnment will be held at a later date. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hilton will be laid to rest together at Whitehouse Cemetery.
Mr. Hilton was born January 8, 1940 in Groves, Texas to the late Lessie Mae (Seguira) and Roy Louis Hilton, Sr.
Roy resided in Lufkin for more than 30 years prior to moving to Kennard. He was a welder and pipefitter and worked for Lufkin Industries at the Trailer Plant for more than 25 years. He was a simple man, with a good heart, he was patient and kind, and loved his family more than anything. Roy loved football and was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan.
Survivors include his daughter, Hillery Monk of Cypress; his estranged son, Gardner Hilton of Colorado; granddaughters, Emily Pillows and husband Jeffrey, Rebekah Konarik and husband Victor; great-grandchildren, Bailee Pillows, Milena Konarik; sister, Hedy Zampini of Nederland; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 60 years, Sandra “Sandi” Hilton; and a brother.
