Rolly Santos Ramos

Funeral Mass for Rolly Santos Ramos, 72, of Lufkin will be held Friday, November 22, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church with Fr. Joby Thomas officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Friday in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Rosary recited at 5:30 p.m. A reception will follow until 8:00 p.m. in the Carroway Family Reception Room.

Mr. Rolly Ramos was born March 15, 1952 in Villasis Pangasinan, Philippines. He was called home by his Creator Sunday, November 3, 2024. He died peacefully in the hospital in Tyler, Texas surrounded by loving family.

Rolly grew up in the Philippines. He earned his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering at Far Eastern University, Manila, Philippines and worked as an Engineer at an electric company in Baguio, Philippines. He then worked as a marine oiler and was able to put up his own business after.

He came to America in 2008 and worked as a transporter at Lufkin CHI St. Luke's Health Memorial Hospital.

Rolly was a cherished individual known for his kind, loving, caring, and humorous personality. He enjoyed gardening, online shopping, listening to music and singing karaoke.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Epafrodito Ramos, Sr. and Purificacion Ramos; his wife of 32 years, Carmelita Ramos; and brother, Rene Ramos.

He is survived by his wife of seven years, Lani Bacati Ramos of Lufkin; two sons, Michael Ramos, wife, Babylyn Posadas Ramos and granddaughter, Mikylla Briel Ramos of Lufkin, and Rolly Ramos, Jr. of Lufkin, wife, Riza Ramos and grandson, Rohan Rixz Ramos of Philippines; siblings and their spouses, Dr. Romeo Ramos and wife Evelyn, Dr. Norma Aguilar and husband Virgil, Ruben Ramos and wife Yolanda, E. John Ramos and wife Fe; sister-in-law, Fema Ramos; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
