Roger Dale Carlin

Roger Dale Carlin, 66, of Pollok died Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at his residence. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Carlin was born August 6, 1952 in Texas City, Texas to Bessie Evelyn (Shotwell) and Edward Carlin, Jr. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army for two tours, from 1968 to 1971, stationed in Da Nang and Saigon. He worked as a carpenter and loved watching movies. Mr. Carlin was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include his mother, Evelyn Wood of Pollok; sisters, Sandra Lynn Reynolds of Lufkin and Camille Jones of Pollok; brothers and sisters-in-law, Randy and Roxanne Carlin of Lufkin, Steven Wayne and Joyce Carlin, and Dennis Gray, all of Pollok; special nieces and their husbands, Lanie and Michael Riddley of Lufkin, Kimberly and Cody Adams of Pollok; and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Carlin, Jr.; and sister, Dennise Carlin Gray.
