Roberto Cantu

Funeral services for Roberto Cantu, 52, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Kent Childers officiating. Cremation will follow under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Cantu was born January 27, 1973 in Carrizo Springs, Texas to Lidia (Reyna) and Erly Gomez Cantu, Sr., and died Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at his residence.

Survivors include his father, Erly Cantu, Sr.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Erly, Jr. and Melissa Cantu, and Paul and Anna Nicole Rodriguez; sisters, Cindy “Tiggy” Cantu and Alicia Cantu; daughter and son-in-law, Brittany and Patrick Redmond; son, Colton Dewberry; and grandchildren, Brileigh Redmond, Chevi Redmond, Legend Redmond, Gunner Dewberry, Garrett Dewberry and Gatlin Dewberry.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lidia Cantu; and wife, Candace (Hudspeth) Cantu.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon prior to the services.
