Robert Elton Brock

Funeral services for Robert Elton Brock, 91, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Hunter Allen and Pat Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Largent Cemetery.

Mr. Brock was born June 21, 1930 in Angelina County, Texas to the late Evie Catherine (Brown) and Johnny Calhoun Brock, and died Saturday, May 21, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Brock was a lifelong resident of Lufkin. He retired from Lufkin-Conroe Telephone Exchange (LCTX) where he worked as a Construction Engineer and a Lineman for 40 years. He was a “tinkerer” and a “piddler” and he loved to hunt and fish. Mr. Brock was an Elder for many years at his church, Union Road Church of Christ.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Gary E. Brock and Kim of Huntington, Ricky Brock and Denise of Central; daughter and son-in-law, Juli and Malcom Allen of Lufkin; grandchildren, Chad Brock and wife Starlin, Misty Corley, Lane Brock, Tiffany Brock, Hunter Allen and wife Jade, Colby Allen; great-grandchildren, Alexis Brock, Justyce Corley, Addyson Corley, Corban Brock, Sawyer Brock, Brock McDaniel; sister-in-law, Jo Smith of Colorado Springs, Colorado; special friend, Daisy Anthony of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Annette Brock; daughter, Brenda Brock; three brothers; two sisters.

Pallbearers will be Don Parrish, Glenn Cummings, Lane Brock, Malcom Allen, Justyce Corley, and Donald Morgan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brock McDaniel, Colby Allen, Sawyer Brock, Chad Brock, Corban Brock, and Jason Parrish.

The family would like to express special thanks for the great care given to Mr. Brock to the staff at Affinity Hospice, especially Shelby, Carlie, and Peggy Jo.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
