Robert E. Bazar, Jr.

Funeral services for Robert E. Bazar, Jr., 98, of Tyler, formerly  of Lufkin, will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bryan Lipscomb officiating. Graveside services with military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Nogalus Prairie.

Mr. Bazar was born August 2, 1925 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to the late Flora (Jordan) and Robert Edgar Bazar, Sr., and died Saturday, May 4, 2024 at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Jeweline Bazar; daughter, Kathy Folds and husband Mark; daughter, Paula Gray and husband Gene; daughter, Pamela Beers and husband Jerry; son, Rodney Bazar and wife LeAnn; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Jean Strong and husband Virgil; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Flora and Robert Bazar; his first wife, Shirley Bazar; great grandson, Logan Gill; sisters, Nadean McAlister and Betty Brandon; and brother, Lester Bazar.

Pallbearers will be Shane Beers, Brent Beers, Jordan Folds, Aaron Folds, Paul Stanford, and Mark Strong.

Honorary pallbearer will be Marvin Best.

Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Baptist Church, 4423 Ted Trout Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
