Ricky W. Barley

Funeral services for Ricky W. Barley, 63, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, May 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Kent Henson and Jim McDonald officiating. Graveside services with Law Enforcement Honors will follow in the Largent Cemetery.

Mr. Barley was born August 9, 1955 in Houston, Texas to the late Margie (Norwood) and Robbie Barley, and died Thursday, May 23, 2019 in a local hospital.

Mr. Barley had resided in Lufkin most of his life. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked for the Prison System and was a Retired Lieutenant for Angelina County Sheriff’s Office. Mr. Barley was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Colleen Barley of Lufkin; son and son-in-law, Christopher Barley-Hudnall and Phillip Hudnall of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, April and Chris Elrod of Lufkin; grandsons, Damian Barley-Hudnall, Christian Elrod, and Camden Elrod; sister and brother-in-law, Denise and Tom Hilton of Jasper; brother-in-law, Randy Reid of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Bryant Jones, Bryan Holley, Dale Childress, Kent Henson, James Sanchez, and Jesse Guerrero.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
