Richard Edwin Teal, 72, of Woodville died Sunday, August 18, 2024 in a local hospital. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Richard was born January 23, 1952 in East Griffin, Georgia to the late Doris Ethel (Mathis) and Buran Wallace Teal. He was a wonderful caregiver for his family and spouses. Richard was very generous. His heart was so big he would give you the world if he could. He loved to shop, but mostly for others because of his generosity. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was so funny.
Survivors include his stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Shelly and Scott Parker of Gallatin, Tennessee, Carolyn “Missy” and Claude Burkhaulter of Jasper; grandsons and their spouses, Coty and Christina Drake, Corey and Mikeala Nichols, Kurt and Tori Ramsey, Daylen Nichols; great-grandchildren, Levi, Mason, and Madilynn Drake, Wesley, Waylon, and Hazel Ramsey, Ellie and Emmie Nichols; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Shirley Dubose, Dole Luther and wife Jessie, Jim Luther and wife Laura, Linda Cambell, and Marilyn McClellan and husband Charlie; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carolyn Sue (Luther) Teal; brother-in-law, Charles Luther; and sister-in-law, Margie Bass,
