Rene Havard

Funeral services for Rene Havard, 44, of Diboll will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother C.G. “Buster” Grigg and Brother Leo Lytle officiating. Interment will follow in the Wheeler Cemetery.

Mrs. Havard was born September 16, 1973 in Baytown, Texas, and died Saturday, June 16, 2018 at her residence. She had resided in Diboll most of her life. Mrs. Havard had taught school for 12 years, at Harmony Christian School and Faith Christian School. She was a member of Faith Family Church. Mrs. Havard loved to sing and was a member of the church Praise Team.

Survivors include her husband, Jeremy Havard of Diboll; daughter and son-in-law, Kaydi and Kaleb Mobley of Diboll; son, Colton Havard of Diboll; granddaughter, Brooklynn Sage Havard of Diboll; mother and stepfather, Kaye (Jolly) and Ronnie Fitzgerald of Diboll; father and stepmother, James and Carolyn McElroy of Mexia; stepsister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Jimmy Caldwell of Huntington; stepbrothers and sister-in-law, Todd and Leslie Fitzgerald of Center, Brad and Monica Fitzgerald of Timpson, and Charles Black of Mineral Wells; aunts and uncle, Carolyn Soward of LaPorte, June and Ben Tyer of Livingston, and Stella Elaine Bounds of Dallas; parents-in-law, Arlis and Nelda Havard of Diboll; brother-in-law, Justin Havard of Huntsville; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William “PaPaw” and Ruby J. “Mamaw” Jolly, Alfred M. and Lillian M. McElroy; and stepbrother, Kenneth Black.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Standley, Billy Bennett, Jimmy Nash, Mark Willis, Lynn Reid, and Justin Martin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Powell and the Texas Dynasty Baseball Team.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
