Funeral services for Rena Mae Brock, 88, of Huntington will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother Jackson Colwell officiating. Eastern Star graveside services by Huntington Chapter #938 will follow in the Gann Cemetery.
Mrs. Brock was born March 16, 1935 in Ferriday, Louisiana to the late Lillian Lou (Wiley) and Vernon Morris White, and died Saturday, February 24, 2024 at her residence.
Mrs. Brock was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She cherished her family. She is fondly remembered by many as being a caregiver, always ready to help or even provide food to those in need in her community. She was a member of Harmony Odell Missionary Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star Huntington Chapter #938. Rena loved her Lord, her church, and her church family and friends. She will mostly be remembered for her heart, her love ran deep and she was deeply loved. Rena gave her heart to Christ at a very young age and remained faithful until the very end. She was a strong prayer warrior and she loved to witness to others every chance she got and sing and praise the Lord. She would always have an angelic, radiant look upon her face as she sang. Rena loved her flowers and working in her flower garden.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Bobby Weaver, Diana and David Linstrom, all of Huntington; grandchildren, Crystal Miley and husband “Punkin” Jack III of Chireno, Amy Weaver and fiancé Dwayne Fredregill of Huntington, Cullen Brock and fiancée Kayla Simpson of Huntington, Dalton Brock of Norfolk, Virginia, Remington Brock of Huntington; great-grandchildren, Brandon Chapel, Briley Chapel, Blayne Chapel, Ashley Miley, Addi Miley, Galina Mae Brock, Amarah Simpson; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Alfred “Al” Brock; and son, Jason Brock.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Weaver, Jr., David Linstrom, Jack “Punkin” Miley, Cullen Brock, Remington Brock and Brandon Chapel.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dalton Brock, Rex Womack, and Blayne Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harmony Odell Missionary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 860, Huntington, Texas 75949 or Order of the Eastern Star Huntington Chapter #938, P.O. Box 1071, Huntington, Texas 75949.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Lufkin.
