Raymond "Ray" Davis

Funeral services for Raymond “Ray” Davis, 63, of Zavalla, will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Dr. Jacob Fitzgerald officiating. Graveside services follow at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.

Mr. Davis was born October 11, 1955 in Winnfield, Louisiana to the late Emma Joyce (Rolen) and Raymond Foster Davis, Sr., and died Friday, December 7, 2018 in Wichita, Kansas.

Mr. Davis resided in Zavalla most of his life and was a pipefitter with the Pipefitters Local Union 211 for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and especially enjoyed campfires with friends. Mr. Davis was a member of Zavalla First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his sisters and brother-in-law, Debbie Butler, Brenda and Andy Wright, all of Zavalla; nephews, Garrett Wright and Nathan Wright, both of Zavalla; aunts and uncle, Ruth Willis of Monroe, Louisiana, and Laverne and Crosby Adams of Winnfield, Louisiana; lifelong friend, Mike Kinney of Weinert, Texas; and a number of cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Donna Gail Davis.

Pallbearers will be Mike Kinney, George Cryer, Jr., Dean Leviness, Craig Anglin, Nathan Wright, and Garrett Wright.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home in Huntington.
