Ray Lamb

Funeral services for Ray Lamb, 72, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Largent Cemetery.

Mr. Lamb was born January 7, 1954 in Jesup, Georgia to the late Dora (Stephens) and Deward Lamb, and died Tuesday, October 27, 2026 in a local hospital.

Mr. Lamb had resided in Lufkin since 1977 and he worked as a diesel mechanic at Mustang Cat, retiring after more than 25 years of service. He coached softball for more than 14 years. He loved his grandchildren and in his free time he enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include his daughter, Laura Snider and husband Jared; grandchildren, Braylon Stamm, Makayla Stamm, Brookelynn Snider, Kenleigh Snider, Ty Snider; nieces, Shelly Koenig and husband Greg, Heather Lamb; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 37 years, Karen Ann Lamb; and brothers, Carl Lamb and Bruce Lamb.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
