Ralph "Slim" Conger

Private graveside services for Ralph “Slim” Conger, 89, of Lufkin will be held Friday, November 10, 2017 in the Sunset Memorial Park in Nacogdoches with Clint Smith officiating.

Mr. Conger was born March 29, 1928 in Bayport, Michigan to the late Agnes Caroline (Cleaver) and Ralph Raymond Conger, and died Monday, November 6, 2017 at his residence. He resided in Lufkin most of his life and was a retired master carpenter. Mr. Conger attended Providence Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Joann (Partin) Conger of Lufkin; daughters, Dianna Earnest and husband Dennis of Dresden, Ohio and Sheila DaPonte of Lufkin; sons, Robert Conger and wife Vickie of Shreveport, Louisiana and Darl Conger of Lufkin; stepdaughter, Celia Alvarez of Lufkin; stepson, Lee Shaw of Lufkin; nine grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Connie Conger Keith.
