Priscilla Verdean Risinger

Memorial services for Priscilla Verdean Risinger, 94, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ty Phillips officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Risinger was born November 13, 1931 in El Paso, Texas to the late Priscilla Lodessa (Moody) and Vernon Austin Johnson, and died Saturday, May 2, 2026 in a local hospital.

Priscilla was a cake decorator at Brookshire Brothers and loved to sew. She was a member of Redland Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Billy Risinger of Wimberly, Eddie Risinger and wife Gayle of Lufkin; daughter, Jane Leach of Lufkin; daughter-in-law, Mary Risinger of Houston; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; niece, Kathie Sweeten of San Antoino; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Noble Franklin Risinger; son, Roy Risinger, and sister, Bonnie Williford.

Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Risinger, Jason Risinger, Mark Risinger, Clint Risinger, Cory Risinger, and Dale Hill.
