Funeral services with military honors for PFC Bradley Ross Woods, 18, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Rory Pitstick officiating. Cremation will follow under the arrangements of Carroway Funeral Home. Bradley was born July 20, 1998 in Pensacola, Florida, and died Thursday, May 11, 2017 in Virginia Beach, Virginia due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Bradley had resided in Lufkin for five years and graduated with the Class of 2016 from Lufkin High School. He was on the Swim Team and set a school record. He was an avid runner and a fitness enthusiast and enjoyed swimming and music. He was currently serving in the United States Marine Corps. Bradley loved his family and he will be missed greatly. Survivors include his parents, Jeff and Dixie Hobbs of Lufkin, and Eric Woods of Pensacola, Florida; brothers, Specialists Zachary Woods and wife Brittany of Killeen, Jaxson Hobbs of Lufkin, and Hunter Hobbs of Austin; sisters, Kamryn Hobbs of Lufkin and Karsyn DuPree and husband Collin of Nashville, Tennessee; grandparents, Kay and Terry Aycock of Tyler, Kaye Liles of Tyler, Gordon and Daynah Hobbs of Sugar Land, and Bud and Thresa Harris of Tyler; great-grandfather, John Yancy; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Cofer, Jekobey Davis, Bryton Judd, Gage Moncrief, Jordan Ray, and Joseph Jurisich. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
