Peggy Joyce McWilliams

Funeral services for Peggy Joyce McWilliams, 90, of Lufkin will be held Monday, March 9, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Cody Moree officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. McWilliams was born January 25, 1936 in Mansfield, Louisiana to the late Opal (Williams) and Roby Terry, and died Thursday, March 5, 2026 in Lufkin, Texas.

Peggy had resided in Lufkin for more than 40 years. She felt it was God’s calling to be a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother where she spent her life loving and caring for her family. Peggy was a member of Harmony Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Rebecca and Paul Birkholz of Magnolia, Gary and Deanne McWilliams of Kingwood, Larry and Judith McWilliams of Lufkin, Terri and Brian Brown of Huntington, Karen and Jeff Vinson of Lufkin; grandchildren and spouses, Justin and Jayneen Reeve, Garrett and Chelsea Self, Conner McWilliams, Aubrey McWilliams, Brandon and Megan McWilliams, Heather and Charley Ramsey, Alaina McWilliams, Jeremy and Meghan Williams, Cara Brown, Morgan Brown, Madison and Hunter Fugate, Blake and Amber Brasher, Dylan Vinson; 16 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe McWilliams; and sister, Betty Willis.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Williams, Blake Brasher, Garrett Self, Justin Reeve, Conner McWilliams, Brandon McWilliams, and Dylan Vinson.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday morning prior to the service.
